Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
So I went into a model shop that I discovered in the area, and oh my God I could have cried. They had tonnes of awesome stuff, I wish I could've bought it all.
Alas, I couldn't, but I did pick up some awesome stuff, at fairly cheap prices too. ![]() So I'm starting of with this Alfa, which I hope to make into a road racer style car, which is why it's in the Motorsports section. So here's the contents, and the paint: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think I'll be using these standard wheels. Might do them gold.. As of yet, undecided. ![]() ![]() ![]() Car will be left like this, meaning no chrome bumpers on it, like most 1600 race cars were. I'm gonna see if I can find any old style decals in my decal box, I'm bound to have something. Inspiration for the project: ![]() Watch this space ![]() - Tomo |

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
That Alfa is a sweet kit of a beautiful car!
The only problem I had with my kit was that the engine sat a tad to high causing the hood to pop up. Don't know if it's the kit itself or something I did wrong? Check it out before finally assembly so you won't have the same problems. Niclas |

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Lol...one of the nicest alfa ever.At least in scale she doesent have the problems of the real one (read rust eating all).I dunno why tamiya make it wrong the italian road plate in the boxart and decal.boh....
Tomo, great project, just be careful the reference pic u posted for ispiracion is a GTAm , that was the wide body racing version (body and wheels are really different). The model of this was done by Gunze some yrs ago.

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Thanks for the heads up on that, I won't be making it into that version, I just mean that's the style I'm going for, not that I'm making it into that car. I'm still working on a Rollcage.. I'm trying to fit one from a Tamiya Skyline R32, I think that's gonna do the job. Well... I hope.

Well this is what I've done so far:
![]() ^ Paint didn't come out as good as I'd hoped. Oh well. Hopefully it'll look better once polished and stuff. ![]() ![]() - Tomo |
