Thanks jcAT - 1A Auto rocks

'99 5.3L Ext. cab Z71 with 271k+ on orig engine & trans.

Drivers window quit last week - fortunately in the up position. Tore into the door on a day off to find a less than shiny window motor with cables intact but not in great shape. 1A had the driver's regulator w/motor in stock for $70. Motor alone was $35 +/- so that was a no-brainer. As they're all of about 50 mi. away, and with free shipping, the regulator showed up next day. Turned out to be the rocker switch but the regulator was all of 6 bolts to swap out. Nice video from 1A showing how to replace one as well.

Don't forget to check the bone yards for window switches when they go. New switch alone was $90. Used $35 and it replaced the bad mirror switch I had going on as well.

1A AUTO does have good customer service. I have had for the most part good luck with their products. they do provide good support if you have issues with the parts and promptly return your payments.

just make sure you keep the receipt copy for any future issues. they then can take care of it.

water and dirt do cause these mirror/window switches to fail.

good luck.
