Re: 2003 venture

First, you need to check for codes in ALL the modules. Autozone can check the ECM, but may not be able to check ABS. If there are no code in any modules, and you are SURE its not a switch problem, then there may be a problem in the EBCM or the Cluster, or connector or wiring issue.

Re: 2003 venture

Not really a way to unhook the system. Did you check codes with a ABS capable scanner? If so, and no codes are stored in any modlue, the problem is likley the cluster.

Re: 2003 venture

There will be a cracked or broken wire at the front left or right wheel with in a foot of the abs plug. To test take a 194 bulb bend the wires back on the bulb un plug the abs connector insert the wires of the bulb into the female connector turn the key to the run pos the bulb will dimly glow, if not the wire will be broken with in a foot from the plug. Most brakes in the wire are at a flex point. This is to say that the van had no troubles before. GM used a hard cover over normal wire the stop and let the normal wire run in to the split loom and then into the abs connector. 90% of the brakes in the wire are right at this point. some removal of the thick coat is required to get into good wire for a splice in. Hope this helps you out.
