Ford Lightning Expedition

Instead of just slapping on the Lightning kit on the Expedition, I made it just a little more difficult(fun) I'm mostly finished with it by now. Just need to finish up the interior trims and throw it all together.

The f150 chassis and wheelbase are mostly spot on with the expedition. Only had to extend where the curve is in the frame rails. The f150 chassis fits pretty vague to the interior of its kit anyway. I used the rear of the expedition interior, and front of the lightning. And the rear bed supports under .

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Had to foil cast the emblems off of the lightning. Not a bad experience.

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Sporty looking Expedition there! I think it looks much better than bling rims. Nice choice of color as well.

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Looking good, pics are a little blurry. Good luck as we don't see many of these around these parts.

It did. I just filled the mold with regular old testors glue and let it cure.

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Nice execution here.

I like the foil cast trick.
I am going to have to add that to my repertoire.

Great stuff!

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Thanks! The foil casting was very easy. Try it out. Small letters might not be as fun tho lol.

Re: Ford Lightning Expedition

Looks realy good! I like the idea of foil casting.. what foil did you use? did you fix it with glue and then remove it and then fill it again?
