Side door lights still on even afer keyless remote locked the door

Hi Everybody,

The lights in the side door inside still ON even after the doors are locked by keyless remote for my GC 1998 model. I made sure again all the doors are locked but still the door lights still ON . Im afraid my battery will drain and wont start the next time if these lights will not be put off. Any advice and suggesstion would be greatly appreciated.

Had pretty much the same thing happen on a '04,plus power windows stopped working at the same time. Found a broken wire in the driver's side door wiring harness, had to cut the rubber boot to access it. Hope this helps!
