DRLs not working 98 2.2

98 2.2L, 5 speed, base model. I wanted to install a tach in my car, so I went to the local junk yard to find a cluster with one already on it. I installed it and all the gauges work fine. But now, my DRLs wont work. The DRL light flashes fast for a while and then it just keeps flashing. I have tried replacing the Relay, and that doesnt help, I looked at the bulbs, and one was burnt, so I replaced both of them, and still no DRL. Its really not a big deal to have them since its not against the law. But I just would like to fix them if I can.

Any help would be appreciated
thanks

Escort jay, I'm not to familiar with the Cavaliers, but it almost sounds like you have a wiring or connection problem, so your DRLs were fine before you changed the cluster?

Does you car have fog lights? If not, that may be the problem. Cav's not equiped with factory fog lamp have the DRL circut run though the cluster, on cars with fog lamps, they do not use the cluster. If they worked before the the cluster was changed, it's the incorrect cluster.
