Lexus LFA

This was one of the most enjoyable models I have ever built. (And I have built thousands.) Fit and engineering are superb; a highly recommendable kit. I was able to build this in less than two weeks, start to finish.
The rear wing can be displayed up or down. I like that option, but in the end I like the look of it in the down position.
I went with the flat black wheels because the silver plating looked too toy-like with this color scheme.

I did some light weathering and shading to break up that mass of black on the belly pans. At least some of the chassis detail shows through…

A couple shots of the engine…

Its a beauty, I think really light grey panel lines would set it off. Thanks for sharing this excellent build.

Re: Lexus LFA

It's fantastic in pearl white! I like it very much. Maybe a little wash on the panellines would make it more realistic.

The flat black wheels suits the car, but I would have painted them gloss black or gun metal. It's still an awesome build.

Kris.

Re: Lexus LFA

Looks stunning in white , and you have made a superb job of it , the only thing i would change is the front badge ,i had the same thing when i built mine i cut it in half so it sits flush with the body but this is not your fault , it is a tiny little error by tamiya but i think we can forgive them this time.

Great work as always Mark! Love your color scheme, which makes this car look better than the factory stock. No need to say about all the details and amazing paint works. This kit is really outstanding, I reckon it was among the best that Tamiya had ever made, they did put a lot of effort on it, I just wish they can make something more interesting with this level of works!

Totally agree on this topic. Congrats for this fast clean build. I`m still too scared to start on mine...

Re: Lexus LFA

Awesome Mark!
Dont do the panel lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I know you know that Mark; and wont do it)
Everybody ruins (RUINS) a white model, or any model, with those damn panel lines. "Yellow car gets black lines!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?)
If you are going to mess up your model with panel lines, at least do them in the same color family.... yellow gets a dark yellow or brown.
Nice job!!!!!!!!!!!
Andy
