Removing door panel

The electric window on my son's Torrent has quit working. He says he can hear the motor trying to run so it must be something else in there. Anyone know how to take the door panel off? Does it just pop off or a special tool needed to remove it? The Torrent forum has no posts since July and the guys here are the best anyway.

Re: Removing door panel

The door panel can be removed but it takes a special tool. They aren't expensive and can be picked up at most auto parts stores. You will need to remove the screws in the arm rest and then use the tool to get behind the edges of the panel and remove the tabs that hold it in place. You will need to remove the inner plastic water shield and make sure to replace it when you have repaired the window. Good luck!
