talon tsi upgrades

I'm thinking of getting a 1995 or newer Talon tsi, i've heard they're fast and i'd like another project car to play with.... i'm wondering if it's worth it and if so where could i get really good performance parts, cost isn't much of a factor, i need the full nine yards: better turbo, intercooler, cold air, suspension, exhaust, body kits... all the good stuff. If anybody has some good sites it'd be great if you could share them, thanks.

If you like to work on your car...

...then you've found the right one

Where to start...well you can make almost double hp on the stock pistons/rods, and it doesn't take much to get the car into 12 second passes.

Best websites you need to learn everything:

Official DSM Website
DSM Tuners
DSM Talk

those sites will teach you more about our cars then you want to know. I started out with a laser RS, then bought an RS AWD, then my Talon TSi Awd. They're a lot of fun to drive, get looks from girls and go really fast when the turbo kicks in. They're also not as hard to work on as some cars. Hope that helped you out.

btw, check out the known issues so you first know what goes wrong. Crankwalk is a big problem (you want to read about this and how to check for symptoms before you buy your car.)

the First Generation (1G's) Talon/Eclipse/Lasers (T/E/L's for short) are lighter, faster, meaner and come packin a better turbo from the factory.
Second Generation (2Gs) come with a smaller turbo but 15 more hp from the factory. They can be made to go just as fast as the 1G's with some weight reduction and mods. They're awesome cars. Can you tell I love mine? hehe

This is the only cost effective way to get into a project that is AWD, turbo, and has a strong motor. Not much else to be said about it. This is why DSMs mop up at the tracks... And not just drag racing. Aks the boston chapter BMW CCA about a certain 2g talon that destroys all of thier M3s on the road course, with a 16g, lol Good luck with your project.
