1992 G30 5.7 Hesitation
Recently my 1992 G30 5.7L began hesitating when restarted after sitting short periods such as 20 or 30 minutes. It does start but runs lousy for a minute or so until it clears up. Also, once in a while it will hesitate when accelerating from a stop.
No check engine light is on. 151K on the engine. Still runs strong otherwise. Thoughts? I'm suspecting the TBI but have no experience with them (yet). Jim |

You may be getting to much or to little fuel or losing spark. Check for good hot blue spark when it is acting up. Pull air filter and check TBI for injector leakage and spray pattern when starting. Get a reading on both coolant sensors for proper eng tempt and AIR intake tempt. Check fuel pressure for fast leak down and cranking and running pressure. Also check egr valve for sticking open. Let us know what you find.
