What kind of tires u got on your GP?

Yo! I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT I bought new in 98. It now has 125,000 miles on it and I am looking for some opinions on tires. This is the 3rd set I will be putting on the car. The original tires that came on the car(i think Goodyear Eagle GT's) were by far the best ride and control but were totally beat at 24,000 miles. The 1st set of tires I put on after the originals were the Goodyear Aquatreads they lasted about 40,000 miles. I couldnt wait for those to wear out! They were the worst tires I ever rode on. The 2nd set I put on were Uniroyal Tiger Paws. I have about 50,000 miles on them now and they are ready to be replaced. I am looking for that original tire feel but need them to last longer than 24,000 miles!,but not break the bank either so tell me what tires you got and how you like them! Thanks!

On 2 of the GP's I've owned, I had the Goodyear Eagle #1's (click link). I absolutely loved the tires. Great traction in wet/snowy conditions, and a nice hard sidewall to prevent roll. They also come with a 50K mile treadlife warrenty.

Re: What kind of tires u got on your GP?

My 99GP-GT had Michelin Hydro-edges on it when I bought it, and they lasted an incredible 80k miles. They did everything well except one thing, which by the name of the tire you'd think it's what they were designed to accel in...wet traction. I currently have Cooper Lifeliner GLS's on it now which have performed very well (especially for the money, under $300 for the set of 4), as finances wouldn't allow Michelins again ($480 for set of 4).

het some hankook h727 they are great tires, the best I have tried. I have also had really good luck with Cooper cs4. make sure your suspension if good, get the car aligned WITH camber adjustment. you will have to buy a kit or file out the strut hole so they can adjust it.
