Key in Ignition

Hello,
This summer my brother left me his 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo as he left for Marine bootcamp. Yesterday i went to go move the car in our driveway. As i turned it off i noticed that i couldn't get the key out of the ignition. It won't let me turn it to the locked position on the ignition as to take it out. Any ideas on how to get it out?

Re: Key in Ignition

Try rotating the steering wheel as you turn the key. On some cars the steering column interlock can hang up and keep the key from coming out.
