Air bags to replace leaky air shocks

Has anyone here added in spring air bags instead of replacing leaky air leveling shocks?

Re: Air bags to replace leaky air shocks

the Grand Prix's rear suspension never came with an auto-leveling system, nor could it be retrofitted without major fabrication. I see the Cadillac logo in your avatar, so I assume you have one with the electronic adjustable suspension? Air bags will not work on most front wheel drive cars because of the way the suspension is designed. There are companies that make non-electronic replacements for the older Caddy's (pre-97), but the 97-newer models are tied into the abs/yaw control/stability, and cannot safely be disabled that I know of.

Re: Air bags to replace leaky air shocks

Thanks for that, I didn't know where to post exactly maybe Auroura or Riviera. My bad. I come deadend with Caddy guys s they go with the passive sturts. I just cant see tossing out a varible strut over@$500ea. for the rears that the strut works well but the air bag is leaky. It don't make sense. The ride system on these cars is trick from the factory as complicated & expensive as it may be. I was kind of trying to connect with someone who gave this some consideration. Thanks for the reply!

This sort of thing-
