Nice pics Brent. I've been to 234 a number of times and I still haven't seen all the trails.

Ok Shuld, you can't post a picture like that and not include some info...

Did he hydrolock the engine?
Is that a river, or an ocean?
Why did he do that?

It's Slimedog on one of our earlier trips (the first one I went on with PNWX where I drove all the way from Canada to the Oregon Coast).

It's freshwater (for the most part. Away from the beach, but I guess there could be some salt content from the sand).

One of the club members walked through the water and it wasn't much higher than knee level, but Slimedog went a bit off to the side of where the walkthrough occurred.

As he went through he found a deep hole and the front end lifted (buoyancy) and he lost traction for a second, but his momentum got him to the other side and the front wheels grabbed some sand to get him out.

I have video, but have to dig out the CD somewhere in my office.

In response to OffroadX's comment, if he had gone slow he would have been screwed as he would have just floated (or sunk) once he hit the hole. No it's not the ideal situation and not an example of good technique, but he made it out ok, and didn't suffere any negative effects from the water crossing. :flash:
