Well Vric i can tell you with a money order it takes at least a month for me and i am in america and no custom taxes for me. but for canada i really don't know on that. the way i look at it is with the time it takes to get a package you can time them out so you are getting a new model(s) kits every month. i honestly don't mind the time it takes it helps keep down the number of projects going at one time

I don't think it will be HLJ that will charge you the customs tax. It'll be your friendly neighbourhood Canadian government that will do that. And, I do expect that they will at least charge you the GST and possibly some other amount as well.

I suggest looking up Canada Customs in you phone book and asking them what the rates would be.

i have paid by money order and I live in toronto. you send the money order to a USA address, so that you don't pay a currency exchange fee if you had to send it to japan. it takes about a week and a half for the US postal to deliver the money order, then you wait a few days and then your items are shipped. it was pretty simple. Canada charges a lot for customs on my order cause I ordered a lot of kits. all and all, the total with shipping and customs still saved me money from buying it at the stores here in ontario.

I want to order 2 kit + 2 can of Primer. Don't even know how shipping would be so I don'T really know if it would pass on my credit card. It's sad they dont give estimate of the shipping charge.

If you don't want to use crecit card or money order, you can always use Paypal. The money comes out directly from your bank account and they get it instantly. I used Paypal with my last HLJ order and everything went smooth.

You can set it up so Paypal uses your checking/savings account instead of your credit card.

Just got my order today,
Kits themselves were 94 CDN
shipping was about 23 CDN
There was no custom fee but instead the GST&PST ( 14.5%) and 5 CDN handle fee. (which amounts to CDN 18.75)

so total was about 135 CDN

Considering what those things would cost in my local shop.
I would say it was a good deal to buy at HLJ.

Not counting the credit card process time and time for the HLJ staffs to get my kits.

From the time I received notice of shipment it took 8 or 9 days to get to my door =)
