Even with all the speculation that is floating around I still have nothing substantial. All there is is talk based on might and maybe. No names or Reps. from mitsubishi who have given a positive confirmation on this vehicle....Anyone know for sure???? :flash:

Latest I heard from a friend of mine who is a rep for Mitsu is that the US corporate offices have not confirmed. The plans are there but have not been executed. There is talk about whether we will see a watered down version to compete with 227-hp WRX or they might wait to see if Subaru confirms the 276-hp WRX STi to be US bound then they might give us the 276-hp Lancer :flash: to respond to that competition. However, you are right it is all speculation. All I can say is that my source is from within the walls of Mitsu corp and there were official company announcements for product line enhancements. If we do see it it won't be until the 2003 line up.

But hopefully we will see and and be able to smoke :smoker2: the competion.

Does that mean that the car is coming out in 2002 and will be in dealerships late august.....of 2002 or it is coming out in 2003 as in late august of 2003? Cuz if it is.... Mann that is too long a wait ...there are other ways to get this car over here. But are rather costly. Paying for this car would be like paying for a benz or a porsche.

As of last week. It has been confirmed my a Mitsubishi Dealership that the Lancer Evo series will be coming to US shores in December of 2002. There is no word about specs. but the apprx. price is going to be $35,000. USD Hope I have given you guys some good news, I knw I'm excited I'm going to be the first person in my area to get one that's for sure. Sorry about that guys I forgot what year I was in.. Not Dec of 2003 it's coming out Dec of 2002.

I wouldn't trust any carmanufacturer claiming a certain model would come in 2 years time. There loads that can happen. Change of boards, change in carregulations, new market approach.

No, only if they claim that the current model will come withing the next 6 months would be trustworthy.

BTW december 2003 might bring you the EVO 8 Delecour........:licker:

What da hell?! December 2003? That does not make sense if it is a 2003 model.. and maybe this is the FULLY packed HP 280 or so Lancer EVO because it costs that much..

maybe the 2003 model is the detuned one..
