Power folding mirror problem solved.
I know I have an Avalanche, but a power folding mirror is a power folding mirror. Late last fall my drivers side mirror would not fold when the button was pushed, no noise no nothing, completely dead. Tried resetting it as per instructions in the manual to no avail. Attempted to remove the entire mirror from the truck once to repair / replace the motor which I suspected was the culprit but lack of slack in the wiring and patience lead to no where. Last night I decided to tackle it again, this time I tried simply to remove the mirror itself from the housing and in the process of looking into the housing with a flashlight I noticed what appeared to be an electrical plugin connector that appeared to be unplugged. After some gentle prying and pulling I was able to separate the mirror housing into 2 pieces which allowed me access into the mirror itself and low and behold the wiring connection plugin for the power folding mirror had somehow come unplugged.
