Another Tamiya Impreza WRC'99 query

[Amaurosis Fugax]

I'm building Richard Burn's Impreza #5 and the instructions give a single wing-mirror on the right of the car, even though it is left hand drive. Bruno Thiry's car #6 has the wing-mirror on the left.

Does anyone have a photo to confirm this? Is it because Burn's car is UK licensed?

Juha Kankkunen had his wing mirror on the left as well so my guess would be that it was down to individual drivers whether they had left, right or both mirrors on.

And Youtube can be a good source of reference. Here and here are 2 videos of the Subaru cars during the '99 season.

If you're talking about Corsica's car depicted in tamiya box, yes I have these two pics from service to show there is...

...no side view mirror on the left...



...but the right side one is there !

I was almost going to put the mirrors on both sides for asethetics, but I shall stick with the truth...
