Ligier JS11, Tamiya 1/20
Another kit done - the 1979 Ligier JS11 by Tamiya.
I've read that this would be the best of the older Tamiya Cossie-kits, but it wasn't perfect. OK, but some problems, the cowling doesn't fit 100% as the front suspension pushes it up from below. But it looks quite well in the end; I painted with TS23 per airbrush, Alclad aluminium and Duplicolor black, Zero 1k clear on top. I left the chrome parts from the kit, when I look at photos it matches the real car pretty well. I used foil from the tool store for the wing end plates. Decals are from Indycals with some kit decals mixed in. I painted the white areas (with Zero primer, as I painted them after the blue, when using the white decals didn't work) and cut out the red stripes. I only added some wires, belts, the meshes on the trumpets (not perfect, maybe I'll buy some from MFH) and I also cut out the front intakes on the sidepods and added some mesh here, too. Hope you like it.

Another one of your quick builds.
Great stuff. Don't know what to say more... You're builds always look the part. Already looking forward to your next build. |

That's a fine build - very sweet indeed - crisp and clean in every way - great paint finish,
Cheers, Paul
