Throttle RPM's stick when ASC on.
I have a 1997 318i. When driving the rpms like to stick above 2200rpm almost like the cruise control is stuck on. I have to brake the car until the rpm's go under about 2200 and then the car idles back down fine.
When not moving the car seems to idle fine. I discovered by accident that if I turn off the ASC I no longer have the sticking rpm problem. Turn the ASC back on and the problem re-appears. If the rpm's are stuck and I switch the ASC off everything goes back to normal. The car is also getting poor milieage 22-23mpg. Any help would be appreciated. |
