Black Box Prototypes Mercedes CLR

Hi All,

I have been searching for the 1/24th Black Box Prototypes' Mercedes CLR from the 1999 Le Mans.

This kit is very hard to track down, does anyone have a copy that they are willing to part with?

Please let me know.

Ron Mollineaux ([email protected]) was trading some CLRs. I've bought one myself.
His nickname here is outpost962.

Check the slot guys. They have kits ( often fibre glass ) around that could be used for a "static" build as well.

Re: Black Box Prototypes Mercedes CLR

The Black Box Prototypes Mercedes CLR is available directly from me at [email protected]
The kit now has rubber tires and complete instructions on CD.
I don't support the slot car thieves
I have a brand new sports prototype which has been delayed
because of the fear of slot car "rapist".
I recently sold some CLR kits in GERMANY and they now show
up as SLOT CARS. That pattern cost a fortune and the new prototype
was all done in rapid prototyping and cost more. It's is absolutely stunning.
All the hard work stolen. This will put and end to small kit makers and as a
result we will see less people making full kits and less variety.
Thanks
BBP

Ah, i kinda guessed that they were copies. Didn't know the original kit was still available. In that case...stay away from the pirates!

Re: Black Box Prototypes Mercedes CLR

BBP, is a shame to read it, but it always happened in our modelling world.

In the past I made prototypes for planes in 48, and they have been stolen from MPM and Trumpeter.I am sure of this cause I sold theme the model they used as a master.

Yes, that is the end of all the small producers.
