oem help

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a site that I can punch in my cars VIN and get the OEM number for that car? I love working on my cars, but it is so annoying having to call in to a dealer (they never want to help) or buy a book on OEM numbers, just to get the specific OEM number.

Thanks in advance!!

Re: oem help

Are you referring to parts numbers?

Generally these are kept on a database that is either very expensive to buy, or is given limited access to by the manufacturer.

But, any decent parts store will have books that list what parts suit what cars, you would only need the manufacturers parts numbers if your buying from the manufacturer.

Thanks for the response!

Yes, like a database or any free online EPC'S. I have been looking for them for ever.

You won't find them, they are controlled by the dealers and manufacturers.

But, what do you need it for? The parts store will be able to look up the parts you need.
