'96 Jeep Cherokee Sport: Starter clicks but doesn't start

The other day I drove home as usual and the next morning when I tried to start my car it would not start, but only made a single clicking noise from the solenoid. I tried starting my car by jumping the starter with a screwdriver and was able to get the car to turn over but not start. After a few attempts, I no longer got a click from my solenoid. I was told my starter may be bad so I got it tested at the automotive store and it passed. I was told that it could be the solenoid so I went ahead and replaced the starter/solenoid. I tried starting my car and still got nothing. I then saw that one of my 40A fuses had blown and so I switched it out with another fuse and I began to get my single click again, but it still wont start. I dont think my motor is locked up as I was able to turn it by hand. Anyone know what the problem is?
