Prototype

Hi,

here a modified Diecast in
1:24

Some months ago this model from Welly was available. For me it is an ugly car and I thought I make it even more ugly and make a prototype out of it. I got a white model and could start without painting. This design of the foil never existed, but the idea of sticking foil to this car didnīt let me go.

First I made templates with adhesive tape, they were glued on paper and scanned, redrawn with Corel Draw, the design fit to the body and all printed on my OKIDP5000 on decalfoil.

Re: Prototype

YEAH! This ugly duckling really rocks in this guise! It really looks convincing and is done nicely and very clean. Seems like the pattern I found works quite well for this task. I'm working on a similar prototype right now - but mine will be a lot uglier! ;-)

Great work mate!

seems like you're talking about a video game. we don't play video games here - we sniff glue and resin fumes

Soooooooo much better!!! That is a pretty cool design. I need something like that for some interiors.

Re: Prototype

This test mule looks better than the final product

I have thought about buying one of these models to see if I can get rid of the giant potato in back and make it look...like it should?!?
