Squeaky, squeaky Venture

My 1998 Venture has started to squeak really bad. It comes from the front suspension. I think is is one or several of the rubber bushings because a few weeks ago I dribbled some oil into where the metal rubs the rubber and it went away for the most part. Now it's back with a vengeance. Is this something common with the Venture? I've replace sway bar bushings on previously owned cars but never any of the others.

On a 12 year old vehicle it's likely some bushings will need replacemnet if not the complete component.

Re: Squeaky, squeaky Venture

It was the sway bar bushings (mainly the driver's side) where it mounts to the frame. $10. repair.

Re: Squeaky, squeaky Venture

The top end of the bushings were worn completely through. I was metal on metal, the sway bar rubbing on the clamp. Now I don't have to turn up the radio to drown out the sqweaking.
