Re: non-AC serpentine

I have the same question...my A/C is bad...clutch bearing also..so I just want to get a belt the is shorter and does not go around the A/C pull.... I see they sell the adapter that replaces the A/C unit and you use the same belt.. about 40 ...too much for this poor guy....shorter belt is cheaper..thanks JJ

Re: non-AC serpentine

I think it depends on what motor. My 3.1 couldn't use a smaller, had to go with replacetment pully adapter.

Thumbs up Re: non-AC serpentine

Actually I looked on the website for Advance Auto..they sell a Non-AC belt for a 96 2.2 per the specs, it is 13" smaller...which by my measurement...is darn close. I know the guy well and if not I can bring it back...It is works..I will give the number.

Cheers Mate !!!

Just got a Drive-Rite Belt...a cheapo from Advance Number is ... 705K5 belt...it eliminated the A/C pump and work great on my 96 2.2L engine. Car has never been quieter !!!! But come Summer in SC..i will need to get a new compressor...
