LIM what do you think
Hello,
Today I did the LIM & UIM for my 2001 Lesabre (~100k miles), there were some minor sign of coolant leak near the throttle body, so I did both the UIM & LIM, when I took out the upper intake, I found oil in lower intake, my guess is the PCV, what do you think? Thanks. |

Re: LIM what do you think
well, i am glad for 2 things:
1) Didn't find antifreeze there. 2) I changed the bypass elbow - from what i saw (cracks) it was a matter of time till these elbows were history and find my self stuck in the middle of the road. But should be oil in there? and that much... i barely saw the top of the bolt there. Thanks. |

Re: LIM what do you think
The 2 inside corner lim bolts should be sealed as oil can migrate up those bolts.

Re: LIM what do you think
already assembled the lower and upper, and there was no seal for the inner bolts, so it's too late now for adding seals
![]() assuming it the first time this manifold was taken apart, what do you think this oil's source? and is it normal? Thanks. |
