2000 astro no heat or air. Changed resistor

hELLO

I have bought and replaced new resistor nad now have different blower speeds, I am not getting air, vent or heat positions though I also have
replaced vacum line from firewall to tee and tee to down below on passenger side (where ever it goes), also from tee to pc that goes over manifold as far as could reach. ans still no air . I pulled line off
tee and i felt no suction or vacuum. so now I am puzzled??? I swapped the tee to firewall and down below as AI forgot which one goes where ( maybe someone could;d tell me) but either way still nothing . I had this problem before replacing resistor so it has to be something any help would be appreciated. I gotta keep her running

thanks

""Air flow only from defrost: There is a vacuum line that runs from the driver side of the engine, near the PCV valve, across the engine to a plastic vacuum tee. That line gets dry rotted and breaks causing a loss of vacuum to the HVAC system. When this happens, the HVAC defaults to defrost"".

High blower only: Most likely, as mentioned, the blower motor resistor needs replacement. .

Re: 2000 astro no heat or air. Changed resistor

Well, you are so close to fixing it...."as far as I can reach" is not good enough...You would never let a mechanic tell you that.....So start undressing that engine until you can reach where you need to.

Most common is the vacuum line comes off the nipple at base of throttle body behind a/c compressor. If you can't squeeze your hand in from front, then take dog house off inside the van and access it from there.

You say there is no vacuum at line you can feel-- then keep going upstream till you find the problem- pretty simple.
