Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

Hello colleagues!
Here was solved on the first thread at this forum, I shall collect here this whale from Revell.

The legendary car....

Has at present deepened all cracks...

...has tried to clean all discrepancies of moulding on a body...

...has painted a body and has opened with a varnish. The Varnish has already dried up, as soon as there will be time - shall start to put decks.
Unfortunately, photos on this machine too little, I shall be grateful if can help from a photo of the bottom and the engine of this car.

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

The latest news...
Work above decks Has begun. Decks quite good, but that from them asks that Revell is easier sadism, on such angular surface it is so much bends?!!
On the first a deck even breaks has done, we shall search suitable paint...

...the second part of a roof has laid down very not bad.

On a luggage carrier as tried, under a mouth and has not got, whether a deck a curve, whether hands...

Total for an evening only three decks...

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

Who has thought up many thanks to that person for us Sol and Set, I and earlier used them, but completely estimate their advantage could just now... Revell, similar, in general in any way did not count decks concerning a relief of a body. Here small progress. A forward part it is possible to tell it is ready.

Back it is begun...

Continuation follows...

This is looking very nice.

For reference, there is a book called "Rally Giants - Fiat 131 Abarth" (publisher: Veloce) by Graham Robson. Lots of good pictures.

Thanks! I shall try to look on the Internet, I do not think that I shall find it at us on shelfs of bookshops.

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

Yesterday morning, taking advantage of absence of wife with a child, taking beer and boldness, all the same decided and glued on a large sounding board on a right side. A battle proceeded three hours with it...

I beg pardon for quality pictures is a telephone, with a camera temporal problems.

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

rallymaster, thank you, but, unfortunately, without problems did not do also.
The good turned out today, productive day.
All, an epic with basket decals was completed, though and not unreserved, but all the same by my victory , honestly speaking, when I first time gave a glance on a sheet with decals, I and disbelieved that for me with them something will turn out. But I did it. Now a basket will prepare for dissection varnish.

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

It's getting better and better, this decal job is absolutely fabulous !!
I have this kit, I really hesitate to use the decals when I'll build it... You achieve an excellent result, really close to a paint job ! Congratulations
I can't wait to see what you'll do with the engine compartment and the inside.

Re: Fiat 131 Rally by Revell

guiwee, thank's! Yes, all those different color blues are a decal. Paint while on this model only one - white. I for the first time collided with such greater complex decals. Viva Sol & Set!!!
rallymaster, thank's! I shall try to not deceive your expectations!
