What year, what engine? Were there any applicable trouble codes? What were they? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one.

Re: please help diagnose jimmy

it is a 2000 gmc jimmy sle 4wd 4.3L the codes it is giving me are PO300 random misfire detected. PO302 cylinder 2 misfire detected. PO452 evaporative emission system pressure sensor switch low input. PO106 manifold absolute pressure baro service range performance. jimmy will start as soon as it starts you can tell its not right it will idle pretty smooth but when you give it gas it picks up really slow and is missing when you let off the gas it will sometimes just die and sometimes it will kind of stall but it will keep running and idle will smooth out

YOU HAVE A MISS ON NO 2 CYLINDER.
Check plugs and wires for good spark.
And map sensor or wiring or vacuum to it problem.
Check for good vacuum to it.
And see if it is reading voltage to ECM.
Ge a repair flow chart for code 106 and go threw it.

When was the last time you did a full Tune up, Plugs, Wires, Distributor cap and Rotor?

Check your Gas cap for a cracked Seal.
