No Heat When sitting still
When I first started my 2003 liberty this year when it was cold outside i let it run to warm up. Only problem was when I got in it no heat. But when I proceded to drive I started getting heat. Also when I first take off I hear what sounds like water behind the dash. What could be causing my heating problem along with the water noise?

Re: No Heat When sitting still
I usually disconnect both hoses I put a water hose in one end and flush until it runs clear. If partially plugged its noticeable. Some heaters are vacuum controlled and a plugged vacuum hose or heater control will cause problems.
I use a vacuum gage and start close to the heater and go to I find the problem. If climate controlled go to http://www.alldata.com/ and purchase a years manual for your truck appx. $29.95 discount on other vehicles. |

Re: No Heat When sitting still
It could be, Wouldn't hurt to try and back flush it. What does your coolant look like, nice and clean or nasty dirty?

Re: No Heat When sitting still
I used to have a Jeep grand Cherokee that made that same "water gurgling" noise when the coolant got low.
