Hi can anyone help
hi people i have been trying to remove the door panel of my 1994 gli falcon so i can try and fix the window, but after unscrewing everything i cant get past the door handle and its inlay can anyone tell me how i would go about this without breaking anything

Remove the screw and pull out on the door handle. Carefully pry the handle trim away from the door. Disengage the handle rod and take the handle out. Some models have a plastic clip inside that is attached to the rod. Rotate it off the rod and detach the rod. Later models don't use a clip. Simply twist the handle off the "Z" portion of the bar.

Door panels are easy.
Just make sure you have all of the screws out before you start pulling on stuff. The only semi - difficult part is the hand crank for the window ( if you have one ). Just put a tiny screwdriver in behind the crank and pop out the little clip and it will slide right off. Door panels will feel like there are still screws when there aren't. This is because they have clips (little plastic ones) that snap into place on the metal. Pull them out carefully and they will snap back on when you put it back. If you are going to bang out a dent I suggest you roll the window all the way up before taking the panel off or the glass will be in your way. |
