05 trailblazer air pump issue

2005 Trailbalzer w/ 6 cyl. P0410 code. Checked check valve, OK; no water or condensation in either line to/from air pump; applied power to air pump while pluged in, pump ran for about two seconds, then tripped my power probe. With vehisce running, checked to see if the air pump was recieving power, no power to pump. I did cheeck fuses/relay and they are good. Is there is swith that I am not checking??

Re: 05 trailblazer air pump issue

The pcm powers up the pump, if you powered it directly and it popped the circuit breaker it is loading the circuit the pump is probably bad, the pcm only powers the sytem when conditions demand. Only a high line scanner can operate the pump manually to check.
