Installing A Tach

hEY IM INSTALLING A TACH IN A 89-93 STYLE MUSTANG JUST WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WERE TO HOOK UP THE TACH WIRE AND THE EASIEST SPOT TO FIND ACC POWER? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

There are 4 wires.

White-12 volt illumination
Red-12 volt ignition
Black- good engine ground
Green- negative side of coil

I ran the white illumination wire to the illumination wire from my stereo. For the ignition wire, you can run either run it to the ignition power wire off the stereo or to the fuse box. I have mine spliced into the fuse box in a switched accessory slot. Run the green though the fire wall and connect it to the negative side of the coil. Black to a good ground. That should cover it.

connecting to the negative side of the coil will make the tach work thats the tach wire?

Yup, the green wire.
