I know I haven't been here in awhile, gotta hand it to you Schlud, nice improvement. Board functions much better!
Thought I would post a couple pics from our latest trip to Tellico, the trails seemed to be getting a bit nastier since the first time I went.. |

a few months back I made this ARB skid, it's made from 3/8 aluminum t6 plate. I've pretty much beat the hell out of it and it seems to be standing up to the test of time and trail. I saw the pic of the Shrockworks skid Rick modified. Nice work Rick!
Damn, look at that tire! |

Okay, I know this is taboo, but I had to show you a pic of the groundlights. I'm adding one more in the front. They help me see what the hell I'm pounding on at night, and they do look kinda California cool don't ya think?
Sorry, I'm still waiting on pics from Tellico where I had them in action....pardon the street shot. |

The rear light is mounted on the support above the rear axle, the front one is mounted on the ARB aimed toward the center of the front wheels.
Don't know how well you can see it, but if you zoom in on the ARB you can see the bolt heads between the vent holes, just above the center vertical row of vent holes on the ARB skid. I should have had them turned on on the first shot to light up the rocks on that climbdown... |

Great pics with the rocks.
With the rock lights, can you figure a way to get them to shine more outside the wheels? Seems the sliders are blocking the light and I would want to see the spots in front of my tires best. Kindof looks like a spaceship. |

Yeah I have the single one up front, and I was thinking about relocating the front lights inside the front wheelwells pointing back towards the ground. It's kinda hard though, with all the armor on the bottom it leaves me very little room to place the lights.
One other thing..if you placed two lights above the rear diff, you could actually point them outwards and that may give you more light on the outside. you ought to see it on the trail! :smoker2: |

I have skid-row all the way! I have been ever so pleased with them too.
The front splash/rock plate I made myself. I got bored at work, and made my plate. I'm making a lightbar now out of a piece of 1/8th stainless angle. I'm still on the fence about what kind of lights I want to put up there. Anyone have any suggestions?? |

Chris....
You call those trails Ha ha! Looks like you guys had a blast. (Tellico is ALWAYS wet tho. from what I'm told). Lights look good. I have mine mounted up along the frame rails tucked up tight to the body, basically in line with the front door front seams. They are a wide dispersion pattern that throw a wide beam the length of the X, about 4 feet out to each side and underneath to just about the center of the truck. So pretty much total undercarriage lighting. Just need something better for in front of the front wheels. Keep up the good mods. Pssst. By the way...if you ever want to fab up another ARB plate, I would certainly be interested. My steel one got somewhat pretzeled at Coal Creek.
