gauges & windows, whats the connection?
96 grand cherokee, all of the gauges and power windows do not work. Is there a common fuse or relay that I can check out first? I'm going to look at it tomorrow as a possible purchase so I don't know if these quit at the same time or not. Anything else I should be checking for? One more thing, is the distributor the same in this 4.0L as a 4.0 from a 92 Larado? Thanks

Re: gauges & windows, whats the connection?
i dont think they are related issues with the power windows and instrument cluster as for the distributors i believe they are different but i cant swear to it

Re: gauges & windows, whats the connection?
I bought the car yesterday and the guy told me that the gauges and windows went out at the same time. I haven't checked it out on the Jeep yet, but I can't find a common link in my '93 grand cheokee manual. I did see that a wire was melted and grounded to the exhaust manifold (green/red stripe) running to o2. Maybe this caused a no spark issue? going to get on it this weekend.
