VR4 vs WRX

WRX has a touch over 700awhp (useless bhp) and the VR4 has a touch over 600awhp (very usable bhp). Also, the VR4 has bolt on turbos that you can literally bolt on to where the stockers were, upgrade fuel, tune and go. VR4 is also full weight on stock cams, heads, pistons, and bottom end with over 100k on the motor.

Matt Monett's DR-750 turbos were used in this run. VR4 shuts down 3/4 the way through as he was not doing the full KM (just over 1/2 mile) that run.

Enjoy.

Yup. The crazy thing is, the turbos have such a light wheel in them (titanium alloy IIRC) that they spool just a tad slower than the stockers as well, which is damn fast. The guy in the video just ran a 10.9 ET on pump gas, no meth, no NOS, full weight. Literally, all he really has is the bolt on turbos with the supporting mods. (ie. injectors, fuel mgmt, clutch).

So what's stopping you from doing the same thing?

Hahaha, well, they are fairly expensive turbos for being bolt-ons. Roughly $3k IIRC. On top of that, I don't really have the need for a 10 second daily driver. That and I'd probably die within weeks of installing them.

Re: VR4 vs WRX

I should also mention that the VR4, while it does only have a scant 600+ hp it has just shy of 700ft/lb.

I'd be better off starting a heroin addiction. My life expectancy would be higher.

Chop in a VR4 in the place of this car and you'd have some insight to what it would be like if I had DR-750's.

I don't see the problem...you would easily live through that! Might be some problems with the law later though lol

Yeah but it would probably break the headlights and as every 3S owner knows 94 VR4 headlights are retardedly expensive since they were the only year that had glass headlights.
