Smile 1995 c1500 no power at all idles perfect

I have a 1995 1/2 ton 2door shortbed c1500 p/u with a 4.3 v6 manual shift transmission.
This one starts and idles perfectly but will not rev up over 1500 rpm. If you open the throttle to half it the engine just makes a low ugggggg noise from the intake. has no power for driving at all. Cat not clogged, Fuel Pump, sock and filter replaced. TP sensor ok. No check engine lights, check engine light working, no smoke from exhaust to indicate a rich fuel mix. Started all at once. You can see fuel spray increase from the injectors when throttling up but not sure if its enough. I am suspecting the fuel press regulator now but I honestly dont know.

Pull the vacuum line off the EGR valve and see if the truck runs better. The EGR valve is located in the passenger side of the Intake Manifold.

Have you checked fuel pressure with a guage?

No I have not checked it. I could not find a port to check it from. There is usually one on the fuel line close to the engine connection. There is on my 97 chevy p/u anyway.

TBI injection has no test port.
Go to inline at fuel filter and tap in there for fuel pressure check.
