2003 Dodge Dakota Air Conditioner wire.
The A/C in my 2003 Dodge Dakota has been shorting out for the last few months. Most of the time when you start the truck the passenger has to bump a wire with their foot. I'm not sure what this part would be called but I went to Pick-n-Pull in Kansas City on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 and there weren't even any Dakotas in the junkyard. I assumed it was possible any Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth would be transferable with it but none of the vans I looked through had a similar A/C system.
Awhile back this guy I know seemed to have a similar problem with his A/C in a Ram and since the face of his A/C on the dash looked exactly like mine I assumed it was possibly the same problem. The part I guess we're looking for is a wire that in our truck is wrapped in black tape which is now coming off from all the wiggling. What the hell is it called!

Re: 2003 Dodge Dakota Air Conditioner wire.
What kinda wire though, what's the part, does it have a name or like serial number or whatever. I'm not even sure how to describe it, what it is, what the difference is between it and one on any other car. I was with my dad, he knows more about this than I do. It's right under the glove box in the bottom of the dash.
