c70 timing belt help! & "check tps/range perf".

2001 volvo c70. 2.3l turbo car was driven through a flood and was hydrolocked. I replaced two connecting rods and a piston. engine runs fine past idle but after start up when engine comes down to idle it runs really rough. Im not sure how to install the timing belt correctly-it has a variable valve timing unit on a camshaft.

also engine code-p0121(tps pedal check range/performace) it is an electronic throttle, when i hit the gas pedal lightly or full throttle the throttle only opens to one spot and engine only goes to one certain rpm about 2300.

what timing mark should the crank be? the notch or in the middle of the line thing? piston is at tdc when crank mark is in the middle of the marking point, its hard to explain. wat marking should the exhaust came be at? and do i have to apply clockwise pressure until the ex. sprockets is about to turn the cam? who knows! ill pay for knowlege
