What's the worst job you've ever had?

I would say the worst job would be doing Tech Support. Dont get me wrong, the company is one of the best out there, and I really enjoy helping people. But the mental abuse can be harsh.

Also, whats the worst employer you have had to work for? Mine would have been this guy who ran his own small business. That job was miserable.

My job is the only job I've ever had, but I've had a few different positions.

I'm not a fan of retail sales. Running a register and all. I did get to hone my screwing-around skills, though.

My Job at Mcdonald's, the name implies everything.

Worked for the same place for 18 years now. Had plenty of arsehole bosses though.

Done a paper round when i was at school that i really disliked.

i am werkin at a Wal-Mart. enough said.

you try and support yourself and a car on walmart pay, it sucks.

My worst job is the one I'm in now. I make excellent money, love the work, the customers, the driving, but I CANNNOT STAND MY BOSS!

I work my ass off, managing to pick up at 45 different places in 3.5 hours, drive 50 km's doing it, and get yelled at for not working hard enough. I'm 'not doing my job properly' either - cause' I don't check the 'waybill's properly (all 200 of them per day).

Compared to Courier work, Farming was a breeze. Sure, I had to manhandle 240 lb pigs, 500 lb sows, 800 lb boars, and 2000 lb Holsteins, but compared to the mental abuse from my boss, the physical abuse from working with animals is easy.

Other than that, I haven't had any other jobs, and I still work for my farmer boss in the spring and fall for tractor work, and in the summer nights with hay. So, I've only had 2 jobs in 5 years, and I still hold both .

Both are horriable go no where jobs, working with some of the dumbest people on the planet.

Used to be a night security guard during the summers while I was going to college. What a boring job that was.

i've only worked for my dad.... i basically do nothing and he pays me for it

I just look through office things, and sort stuff for him sometimes
and he ends up givin me $40 an hour in addition to the allowance i get, hehe
no need for a job yet

Would that be standing in the TJ Maxx fitting room for countless hours sorting some stupid housewife's unwanted items?

Or maybe the Hardware Store at the registers where the glass enclosures make a sort of human easy-bake oven???

I don't have too much to complain about when it comes to my experiences at work. However, I worked for ten leading orthopedic surgeons two years ago, working in Medical Records. Back home the summers are hot. At 11am it is usually at least 95 degrees, and the temperature just spirals from there. As part of my job, I spent a majority of every day throughout July purging medical records that had been inactive for the past ten years (oh, the pictures I saw!). This purging occured in a large, metal storage space with no ventilation. It was essentially an oven. But, perhaps the worst part of that job was when I ended up dislocating a tendon in my ankle and wound up in a cast, with threats of surgery. Of course, when Worker's Comp is involved, suddenly you're treated extremely well, with little privileges not available to you before, and all the compliments your boss can think up.

Yep, that was an interesting job alright.
