1998 Rough Running for 2 Minutes & 23 Seconds.
Here is a strange one, a good friend just bought a 98 Eclipse 2.0L Turbo charged convertible. The motor was just rebuilt by the previous owner. When he got ir home he started it up and the engine would run rough for 2 minutes and 23 seconds. Not once but 4 or 5 times in a row. He has checked the Throttle Position Sensor and says it is OK according to the specs. in the Haynes manual. Does any one have any ideas where he can start to check this and track it down. It almost seems like an automatic choke type of thing.
However He just called me and said that it started running fine when he disconnected the cruise control. He would like to have the cruise working , if you have any input it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Hoags |
