95 Blazer Fuel Problem?
My 95 Blazer with the V6 Vortec runs perfect for about 60 miles and then starts to cut out. I can feather the gas pedal to keep it running for ahwile but it eventually quits. I let it sit for an hour or two and it runs perfect again.
It happened to me yesterday and the tank was 1/4 full and I coasted into a gas station as it started cutting out again. I put 15.00 in the tank (didnt want to add more cause I had a can of sea foam in the tank) and it ran perfect. Not sure if the gas that I added cooled the tank? May not be related? I am ready to sell the vehicle! Any help would be appreciated from you experts. Thanks |

Re: 95 Blazer Fuel Problem?
well, seafoam in the tank, by itself, will cause it to stall. it's supposed to be pretty diluted if you put it in the tank.
my advice would be to fill up, and burn that stuff off. if you really want to use sea foam, i think the best way is to slowly pour it through the throttle body while manually applying throttle, to prevent stalling.

Quote:
Time to run a good fuel pressure test on it. A weak fuel pump may fade out and lose pressure after long drive. And always check fuel pressure on the road running after 60 miles or a hr of driving.
