ScaleKraft Porsche Abarth

Did the ScaleKraft Porsche Abarth come with anything else but the body and dash?

Re: ScaleKraft Porsche Abarth

It's highly likely that the ScaleKraft kit (which I haven't seen) is a copy of the Stardust kit. It contained: body, dashboard, 2 seats, 2 door panels, and 2 door latches. I will email you a scan of the instructions tomorrow. Ettore

It is based on the stardust kit, only with better castings and slightly modified. Very rare but accurate body.

Re: ScaleKraft Porsche Abarth

Hi everyone.

I had never heard of the Stardust kit (or transkit?) before, and I am curious now, could someone please post a picture of this model, if available?

I have gathered some pictures of two models of the little Abarth/Porsche, the Scalekraft is in fact listed as a transkit at the Islandcollectibles Webpage, even if they have now been long out of production, it looks like it turns into a very nice model when properly built around the Fujimi 356 base.

http://www.islandcollectibles.net/prod0228.htm

The other model of this car that I know of comes from Hi-Lites, perhaps more adequate for slot-car use?...it does'nt look as good as the Scalekraft (showing a poorer casting quality) but could it also be just a copy from the Stardust/Scalekraft model kits?...or is it the other way around?

Good modelling!

Re: ScaleKraft Porsche Abarth

I am back on the hunt for a Porsche Abarth transkit. If anyone has one of these for sale/trade, feel free to send me a private message.
