Unhappy replaced master cylinder... more issues

so to start off i am having shifting issues. when i 1st turn on the car and try to put my civic into gear the stick will not find its way into any of the gears unless i let it warm up or let it roll, some times after this i can get it in. well in order to fix this (and avoid redoing the clutch/tranny) i have already replaced the slave cylinder fairly easily and have just tried to do the master clutch cylinder. well its in now but there is a bad squeaking in the clutch fluid line and the slave cylinder... i have bled it through about 2 bottles now and this problem is still persistant. is there still air in the line or what?

Re: replaced master cylinder... more issues

Chances are you have bad syncros internally, sounds like time for a new trans or rebuild that one (depending on which is cheaper)

syncros.... the gear plates correct? and what happens if i run my car w air bubbles in the line? i have tried to get em all out but im not 100% sure... bubbles stopped comming outta the bleeder.... and i was looking around and came across the idea of lifting the car up some way to make it easier for the bubbles to come out any idea which end i should lift?

Re: replaced master cylinder... more issues

If you have air in the lines the pedal will be spongy. Your symptoms did not fit with a bad master or slave cylinder in my opinion. If I could have only driven your car before....Either way you have other issue's beside air in the line. How does the pedal feel when you push it in? If it feels "normal" you issue is internal. I would venture to guess that you pedal feel was fine before you replaced those parts.

well now its back to normal as far as feel but it now has a squeak and i have no idea why. could i get around my issue of not getting it into gear when the car is 1st started by just starting it in reverse or 1st? (that revelation just occured to me)
