Any tips/suggestions or info would be greatly apreciated

Hello,
To start off, I am getting my license April 18th (9 days from now, cant wait ). Now that that is out of the way, my dad bought me an 87' MR2.

I was going to buy some new speakers for the car at Circuit City the other day; the sales guy told me that the 87' MR2 didn’t have power steering (yes, it was very random). Anybody know anything about this? Is this true?

To be honest I haven’t had a chance to actually see the car yet, its still at my father's work but I would really like to know what else there is about this car that I don’t know yet. Cause heck, next thing I’ll find out is it doesn’t have ABS or something.
I apologize for such a random post; basically I wanted to hear for opinions from people who've actually had experience with this car. What you thought of it? How well does it handle? Is it a 'fun" car? Does it need a lot of maintenance? Etc.

Thanks a lot
~Kit

Defenatly a good car.

My brother owns a black `86 NA MR2, and from my experiences in the passenger seat I can tell you that it is a fun car.

Although they're not all that powerful, they are fairly light so they can move quiet well. Also, they are great for auto-Xing.

There isn't a whole lot of room in the engine bay for mods, unless you arn't afraid of taking the trunk out.

May i ask what colours your car is?

The car is black.

I bought gold plated rims for it, it looks so awesome! :frog:

another sad case of the '2 posts and never returns' syndrome. then again, this forum isn't the most active mr2 forum out there
