Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs
Decided to change spark plugs in my 2000 Intrepid after 100,000 miles. Decided to put what I thought would be really good plugs. Installed Bosch Plarinum+4 plugs..Car now runs rough at idle and my gas mileage has dropped by 3 mph..Anyone had similar experience? I guess I am going to go to the trouble of removing them and getting my money back..

Re: Bosch Titanium +4 spark plugs
Bosch Plugs in Chrysler products equals trouble. You threw your money away, throw them Bosch plugs in the garbage can and put in Champions.Champion spark plugs are only recomended by Chrysler.I seen nothing but problems with Bosch plugs in Chrysler products, run like crap.

Re: Bosch Titanium +4 spark plugs
According to my current measurements at the ingition coils, the current is very marginal. (Probably because of the crappy PCM)
The bigger the gap at the plug the, higher the spark voltage has to be to make a spark. The Bosch plugs need a much higher voltage and the gaps cannot ("need not") be adjusted. So stick with the old type plugs and adjust the gaps a little smaller. Since this is a direct emission type defect it should be reported to the NHTS board and a total recall of all PCM's should be instigated. If yours is under 90,000 miles have it replaced immediately for free, by fed law. |
