My First 100k ...
A couple of weeks ago I hit 100k. I purchase the truck new off the lot Aug 2000. It is a V6/2wd/HardTop/Auto/AC/no power locks or windows.
It has been a great 10 years and I really have no plans to sell her yet. Still have the original front breaks and I have not replaced timing belt yet (planning to get it changed out this fall) Link to my maintenance record: https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rendres/web/isuzu/100k.pdf

Re: My First 100k ...
Nice looking Amigo. Is that a removable hard top? What kind of mileage do you get with it?
Thanks, Dale |

Summer: 17.5-21.5
Winter: 15-20 Yup it is removable .... I bought a soft-top at a junk-yard 6 years ago ... some summers I'll put it on for a couple of months:

Re: My First 100k ...
how come your front brakes last that long? mainly highway miles?
did you actually pull the wheels off and inspect the inner brake pads? inners usually wear out faster on single piston calipers |

Re: My First 100k ...
75% city driving
Many other isuzu owners have report similar results. I got about 77k out of my rear drum pads.

Re: My First 100k ...
wow... thanks guys for confirming those brakes longevity...
the only other model i see that can reach that mileage was a 2004 toyota rav4 that my sis in law had... i changed both front and rear brake pads w/ over 100K miles too; but it was cutting it close to metal on metal on the rotors $50 later for limited lifetime warranty from autozone & she's good to go for another 50,000+ miles (then, i'll change them out for free replacements!) minivan's are worse; depending on the driver, it can last only about 30,ooo miles |
