98 plymouth voyager AC not working
Last summer my ac was charged and worked great!!! Very cold with no problems. Then one day I got in and turned the air on, and not thinking, I switch the switch from off too high pretty quickly and a big "cloud" of came out of my vents. It had a really chemical smell and was visible for a couple of seconds. Afterwards nothing but hot air from the vents.
My hubby ran a thing of dye through the system and couldn't see any leaks under the hood or under the vehicle...we didn't check in the dash though. Summer was almost over so we just said the heck with it and didn't investigate further, but now I'm getting hot and want it fixed lol. When it quit working the compressor WAS workings, so any ideas on where I could start looking for problems? I did get one suggestion on running more dye and looking in/behind the dash for leaks. Thanks for any and all answers.

Re: 98 plymouth voyager AC not working
Step one - check high and low pressures. Sounds like system pressures are at least at minimum to allow the clutch to engage if you're able to add dye and look for leaks. I would suspect either low pressures or a bad pressure regulator.
