i have a 97 k15oo z71 and i know somebody with a 93-94 ish transfer case from a 1500 z71 for the right price and every body keeps sayin it will work with slight modification. it's manual shift transfer and mine is electric so thats obviously gonna have to be addressed but what other problems might i run into? are there any advantages with the older style? also will i be able to keep the auto lock hubs or will i have to swap out to manual hubs as well? thanks for any help guys lol

Re: 94? transfer case into 97?
You can keep the front end the way it is, but you might wanna check pass drop or driver drop(for front driveshaft) the linkage will be a nightmare i gurantee that lol. There really is no advantage in this swap. The T Case you have in there is an awesome Electric T Case. Not very prone to failure. Keep electric!
